Today, a man in his 30s has been arrested

Gardaí continue to appeal to any person who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them


Gardaí have arrested a man as they continue to investigate a fatal shooting incident in Dún Laoghaire.


The shooting occurred in Patrician Park, Kill Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin on Sunday 5 July 2026. A male (aged 39) was pronounced deceased at the scene


Today, a man in his 30s has been arrested. He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 in a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.


Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing. Gardaí continue to appeal to any person who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.

Any road users who were travelling near Kill Avenue between 8am and 9am and may have camera footage, including dash-cam should make it available to investigators.
